European Business Information Center – it is a source of updated information on the EU, its initiatives and programs, legislation and markets, possibilities of cooperation with European companies, the most important international economic events, which will be of real use to Ukrainian enterprises. The consultations of EBIC will assist the companies in finding of efficient ways of running business, strengthen their competitiveness, entering new markets and making partners in the EU countries.

EBIC is established by the financial support of the Department for International Development of the United Kingdom (DFID) within Lviv Development Project to improve the access of Ukrainian small and medium enterprises, as well as all organizations and institutions enhancing SME development, to information and consultation resources.

The Tasks of EBIC:

•       Informing Ukrainian enterprises on the programs, initiatives and legislation of the EU, economic environment and possibilities of cooperation with small and medium companies from the EU;
•       Providing both Ukrainian and foreign representatives of small and medium business with consultations on partner search, entering external markets, export-import operations, international fairs and exhibitions;
•       Answering requests of Ukrainian enterprises about the EU markets, programs, laws, etc., providing SME, authorities, business associations and all other interested institutions from the EU with the information on business environment and SME sector in Ukraine;
•       Organization of the activities and development of publications (brochures, catalogues, guides) in order to increase awareness and improve qualification of Ukrainian entrepreneurs;
•       Active participation in international business networks, and cooperation with EuroInfo Network, EIC in Gdansk and Rzeszow in particular, development of partner relations with Ukrainian and foreign organizations, which assist entrepreneurship activity;
•       Dissemination of the information on offers of Ukrainian enterprises through the EU business networks and among partner organizations of EBIC;
•       Creation of data bases and accumulation of the information on the business sector in Ukraine and the EU countries;
•       Current improvement of the quality of our services and increase in their spectrum, improvement of competence and skills of EBIC’ personnel;
•       Cooperation with the mass media in order to disseminate knowledge on the EU programs, initiatives, regulations, invite small and medium enterprises to cooperation, promote EBIC and its activities. 

Target Groups of EBIC:

•       Ukrainian entrepreneurs, in particular small and medium enterprises,
•       Representatives of Ukrainian business associations, business centres, unions, NGOs, which work in the field of entrepreneurship development and improving of business environment,
•       Local authorities,
•       Entrepreneurs, local authorities and representatives of business associations or business networks of the EU.
